Shoulder High by the end of July…
Recent West Coast transplants, Jason and Danielle Tisser, were wed at Emerson Creek a year ago from this past Sunday, July 27. As we were delighted to find the two visiting for celebratory lunch, we caught up with them on the very spot their love bloomed where it was planted. Still up to their ears in newlywed bliss, the couple romped in front of our camera and reminisced about their wedding day (thanks D+J for being awesome sports).
“I want to come back and take a picture on the tearoom patio every year.”
Their sweet Mint and Peach accented July wedding, was a featured Chicago Wedding on Style Me Pretty. Wedding photography was exquisitely captured by Megan Saul Photography. Visit the blog post from last year to see all of Danielle and Jason’s amazing handmade touches and gorgeous photos from the evening.
The pair fell in love in Chicago, and as members of Italian and Jewish families, respectively, elements from both traditions were represented in their wedding ceremony and reception. Danielle told us, “Being from a traditional Catholic family, a barn wedding was a hard sell at first, but the pews, the beautiful view and the chandeliers sold me. I had a vision and my family followed my vision. We had so many compliments.”

Wiggles, resident dog at EC, added to the love in this photo captured in our barn. We asked Jason and Danielle if their wedding was exactly as they’d envisioned it. Each agreed that the night went really fast, but that it was truly memorable. Having said the same about the past year as husband and wife, we told them we’d be anxiously awaiting year two’s installment of anniversary photos! Congrats Guys!
